Activity Category Insights 5.20.0
A synchronization-quality release focused on clearer progress, more accurate history, and more useful scheduled notifications.
What is improved
Clearer synchronization progress
Processing totals describe the processing phase rather than implying that the entire synchronization has finished. Provider finalization, local-data updates, completion work, and final success are represented separately.
Consistent results and warnings
Complete, partial, warning, cached fallback, cancelled, and failed outcomes are classified consistently across the application, Synchronization History, and scheduled notifications. Provider warnings are included in the overall result.
More accurate Synchronization History
Added and removed activity counts are displayed only when the previous and current datasets have verified equivalent periods, account and provider scope, activity types, scan limits, and successful-account coverage. Otherwise ACI displays Unavailable with an explanation instead of potentially misleading counts.
Quieter scheduled notifications
Routine scheduled synchronization with a verified complete result and no added or removed activity no longer creates a desktop notification. Verified changes can report privacy-safe aggregate counts, while warnings, partial results, cached fallback, cancellation, and failures remain visible.
Synchronization reliability
Progress phase transitions, finalization, cache commit, and terminal completion are handled more reliably so a completed item count is not treated as completion of the whole run.
Compatibility: Version 5.20.0 preserves existing providers, account settings, saved data, protected settings, licensing, and OAuth behavior. The first synchronization without a verified previous baseline reports change comparison as unavailable. Windows 10/11 x64 and Apple Silicon Macs are supported; Intel Macs are not supported.
